Ha sido una semana bastante dura, he tenido que defender la eficacia de la implantación de un blog en la Administración. El martes cuando expliqué a mis compañeros que es un blog, hubo reacciones diversas, una minoría (muy pequeñita) lo ven claro, del resto hay dos grupos los escépticos y los detractores. Uno de los detractores no sabía hasta hace muy poco que era un blog, sin embargo se atrevió a decir que no creía que en la Administración funcionara “esto de un blog”. Yo me pregunto ¿Cómo alguien que no sabe nada de las herramientas 2.0 puede oponerse? De los escépticos tengo la confianza que se convertirán, en entusiastas 2.0, claro.

Dando explicaciones me doy cuenta que el primer paso y por supuesto el más importante, es que se debe cambiar de mentalidad y sobretodo no tener miedo.

It’s been a pretty hard week as I had to defend the reasons why a blog would be an efficien tool in the Administration. On Tuesday when I explained what a blog is to my work colleagues, there were various reactions – a (very) small minority grasp the idea and the rest are divided into two camps, the sceptics and the detractors. One of the this latter gorup didn’t even know what a blog was until recently but still said that “this blog thing” won’t work in Local Government. To which I ask myself how can somebody who knows nothing abot web 2.0 tools oppose them. I’m sure that the sceptics can be convinced though.

Explaining things I realise that the first, and most important step, is a change of mentality and especially not to be scared (of change).
